An urgent withdrawal has been released for a brand of bread sold across the US that may contain “glass fragments”, according to an alarm from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The department issued an emergency alarm for certain bread that are part of the LP upper bakery LP that was found to have “glass fragments at the top of the bread”.
Rolls were sold at the level of retail in Pennsylvania, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware and Ohio, according to FDA.
Types of bread involved in traction include:
- Ancient honey roll grains in 4-ons containers, memory number: F-0741-2025 in tears #90
- Rolls Multigrain Sourdough in 18-ons containers, memory number: f-0742-2025 in tears #90
- Multigraine Rolls full wheat in 20-onhea containers, memory number: F-0743-2025 in tears #92
All three products were packaged in corrugated paper cartons and sold frozen.
In total, FDA said that 818 cases of upper crust bread are allegedly containing glass pieces, including 699 cases of 18-onheat company packages, most of the withdrawal.

The agency said that 89 cases of ancient four ounce rollers and 30 cases of whole multigrain bread with 20 ounces were also involved in traction.
Maryland -based Bakery first informed the agency on April 12, FDA said in its announcement.
FDA noted that this incident has been raised in a Class II memory, which means that the product can cause temporary or medical health problems, but is unlikely to lead to serious long -term injuries.
The agency said that swallowing glass fragments can cause consumer damage, which may include dental damage, corrosion of the mouth and throat, or bowel perforation. It also poses a risk of drowning.

Only a Class 1 FDA withdrawal is more urgent, which the agency says “is the most serious type” because it can lead to more serious health issues, including death. However, that type of withdrawal is not associated with packaged bread, according to the FDA.
FDA said that anyone who bought the remembered rolls should not eat them and either throw them into a safe trash can or return them where it is bought for a complete refund.
It is unclear if any injury was reported due to glass fragments, but Fox Business reached FDA and upper crust bakery for more information.
