Some large fast food companies are relying on chicken.
McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Wendy have shown each last few months that they are seeking to increase their offers for the increasingly popular protein.
McDonald’s fast food giant on Thursday revealed that McCrispy Strips would become a permanent menu article in all US participating restaurants until May 5, something that CEO Chris Kempczinski alluded during the fourth trimester of the company in February, as he detailed some of her future plans for her business.
The return of the roasting of the snack is also in the works at McDonald’s, with Kempczinski telling analysts and investors at the time the article would reach the US ”along with some other markets” this year. The chain has recently been hinted at the date of return of Snack Wrap with a post on social media saying “Snack ends 0x.14.2025”.
McDonald’s is also seeking to expand the availability of his McCrispy chicken sandwich from more than 70 markets in “Almost All” by the end of the year, according to Kempczinski. As for Chicken Big Mac, the company plans to “continue to pulsate” that sandwich as a “bid only limited time over time,” he said.
“We are excited about the important opportunity we see inside our chicken portfolio and see the potential to add another point to the chicken market by the end of 2026,” Kempczinski said while calling in February.
Taco Bell, meanwhile, has also made more moves with the chicken.
The chain added Nugget Crispy Chicken to its menus in the US on Thursday, approximately four months after their first season with limited time in December.
Taco Bell’s nugges appeared in nearly 1-in-6 Taco Bell orders during that limited run, according to the brand.
Their latest reappearance is “the first step in Taco Bell’s plan to add fresh chicken to the menu forever by 2026,” the chain said in mid -April.
Taco Bell said the Nuggets Crispy Chicken “will be in the menus for a limited time as one of some new creations that the brand is exploring while working towards making fresh chicken a permanent part of the menu” next year.
During the Live Mas event Taco Bell held in early March, Marka said that American and Canadian customers can also expect to see fresh Burritos and tacos on a limited basis this year.
At Taco Bell’s Test Kitchen, 95% of its innovations in the center of the chicken, according to the brand.
At the beginning of last year, the chain rotated his Cantina chicken menu, displaying items like Cantina Chicken Burrito, Cantina Chicken Quessadilla and Cantina Chicken Taco Soft. Taco Bell said last month that “aims for the Cantina Chicken Menu items to reach $ 5 billion for sale of the system by 2030.”
Leaders at Wendy’s, who has more than 7,000 restaurants worldwide, are also plotting to add more chicken to the menus.
CEO Kirk Tanner said while calling the company’s profits in mid -February that Wendy has “plans to expand into fast -growing categories, including chicken and drinks.”
In a blog post after the company’s day of the company in March, he similarly wrote that Wendy’s was planning to “expand our chicken offers to provide modern, enviable opportunities for our customers” in addition to the chain holding a “constant focus on our iconic and fresh, frozen calf hamburgers, like the quality differences.” The company has also rolled fuses Frost and Frosty Swirls this spring.
During the investor day, Wendy Lindsay Radkoski’s main marketing officer said the chickens “Overindexes with all three of our main growth audiences, and based on trends with those audiences and why they are eating chicken, we do not expect chicken growth to slow every time soon,” according to QSR magazine.
She is also reported to say that the “menu work” of the chain on chicken “is more intense than ever before.”
Wendy recently released a chicken sandwich Cajun Crunch as a limited bid as part of its spring menu.
