The number of TGI Fridays is significantly reduced in the US as bankruptcies of Chai Battles

TGI tracks on Fridays in the JBA have been significantly reduced.

The chain website ranked 85 restaurants across the country, less than a third of the number operating in the US in early 2024, when there were about 270, CNN reported on Tuesday.

In November, while TGI Friday Inc. entered into the bankruptcy procedures of Chapter 11, over 160 were distributed throughout America, according to the exit. Since then there have been closure and sale of TGI Fridays restaurants.

TGI Fridays Inc. went into bankruptcy “to allow the company to explore strategic alternatives in order to ensure the long -term sustainability of the brand,” she said at the time.

Locations exclusively in 56 exclusivity in 41 countries were not included in the process of chapter 11, according to his press release in November announcing bankruptcy.

“The brand, distinct from the entity that presented bankruptcy, is now run by exclusivity, with an exclusivity advisory board that empowers and forms decisions across the brand,” TGI representative said on Friday. “Bankruptcy affected less than 10% of the system.”

TGI Fridays’ trail currently includes 391 restaurants in 41 countries, according to the company.

Blanchette, who is leading TGI return efforts on Friday, recently told Fox Business that within its first 100 days back, the company had already improved 80% of its menu, with a new food and cocktail menu starting across May 13th.

Tgi Fridays is also seeking to attract a younger audience and “change the brand’s voice and refresh it” with more emphasis on social media, he said in the interview.
