The best time to drink coffee and how many cups you should have

There is nothing like that first cup of coffee in the morning – the one who feels like turning you from a heavy mess into a productivity machine with just a few sips.

But if you are someone you like to have your morning coffee once your feet hit the ground, we can have some bad news for you.

Drinking it as soon as you wake up, it can actually be confused with the natural energy of your body, means that you are more likely to need glasses two, three or four later.

“The ideal time for drinking coffee is usually the middle until late in the morning or approximately 60-90 minutes after waking up,” Nichola Ludlam-Rine Nichola-Rest told the coffee friend, adding that this is usually around 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning if you wake up between 7 and 10 in the morning.

The thought here is that because our levels of cortisol – the stress hormone that wakes us up and keeps us vigilant – are naturally in the highest in the morning and sit after about an hour, drinking coffee can make it less effective and clutter with your energy levels later during the day.

“Drinking coffee very soon after waking can whiten the body’s natural energy cycle, making you more dependent on caffeine later during the day,” she said.

If you wait an hour sounds like medieval torture, Ludlam-Rine suggests gradually adjusting by pushing time back with 15 minutes daily until you get there.

And remember that there are natural ways to wake up, how to shower and take a little sunlight.

If you tend to want a second cup immediately, you may want to give it a minute.

“Better of the space from coffee consumption rather than drink cups back,” she said, as “it takes 20-45 minutes for caffeine levels to reach the bloodstream.”

In practice, this means having another cup can immediately promote your anxiety level or give you the frightening voices of coffee.

If you are someone who is eagerly awaiting their cup of afternoon, remember that the effects of coffee can last for three to five hours, so it is best to interrupt yourself after 2 or 3 in the afternoon so as not to potentially disrupt your sleep.

And if you have drunk some drinks the night before, know that coffee may not be cure for the morning you were hoping for, as alcohol dehydrates you, interferes with your sleep cycle and clutter with your body’s ability to metabolize caffeine.

“Your liver gives priority first to the breakdown of alcohol, which can slow down how fast caffeine begins,” she said.

Instead of trying to make your way to feel like yourself again, it recommends eating a balanced breakfast, drinks a lot of water and saving that coffee cup when you are properly hydrated.

While coffee is known to have some health benefits – including reducing inflammation, increased life expectancy, and even helps you lose weight – having a lot of caffeine can increase blood pressure and worsen anxiety.

It may be rare, but, in extreme cases, people have died of caffeine overdose.

“For most adults, up to 400 mg caffeine a day is considered safe,” said Ludlam-Rine. This translates to:

  • Four small cups of brown produced (about 90-100mg)
  • Five to six shots of expression (about 65-80mg each)
  • Two to four largest cafe -style drinks
